Don’t have a ticket to Hollywood’s 84th Academy Awards®? No worries. You can still walk the red carpet and attend the special event right here in New Hampshire!

This Sunday, Feb. 26, from 6:30 p.m. to midnight, Red River Theatres in Concord, NH is celebrating the Oscars® by rolling out the red carpet, where movie lovers are invited to dress in their most stunning attire and make a grand entrance under the spotlights. Once in the theater, guests will enjoy food, music, and dancing, followed by an 8 p.m. telecast of the Academy Awards ceremony on all three of the theater’s screens. During commercial breaks, event-goers can play Oscar Bingo while enjoying coffee and dessert.

In addition, guests will be able to pose with the Oscar that belongs to New Hampshire playwright Ernest Thompson, who penned the legendary play, On Golden Pond over 33 years ago. He adapted his play for the big screen, earning him the famous statue in 1982. This past summer, Thompson directed his own play for the first time, fittingly, on the shores of Squam Lake, where the movie was filmed.

This is the fourth year that Red River Theatres is throwing its special Oscar party, and proceeds from the event will benefit community and educational programming at the theater. Last year, more than 300 arts supporters and film buffs attended. Red Rivers is a non-profit, independent theater that plays top independent and foreign films, as well as classics and cult favorites. You can keep up with the theater on Facebook here.

Tickets to the Red Carpet event are available at the Red River Theatres box office and online at redcarpetawardsnh.com. The Award Winner Package, which comes with a swag bag and premium drink ticket, is $80 for theater members and $90 for general admission. The General Package is $35 for Concord Young Professionals members, $70 for theater members, and $80 for general admission. Don’t miss this glamorous party!
