wine grapesIt’s harvest time in Napa Valley, and vineyards there are celebrating “Crush,” the gathering of grapes for their excellent wines.  Crush times around the world are traditionally observed with festive parties and special meals shared amongst friends, and in this spirit, Lakehouse Grille in Meredith is having its own Crush celebration.

On Thursday, November 4th, Lakehouse at Church Landing will be offering a special wine dinner featuring seasonally inspired bites paired with flights of wine selected from their favorite California vineyards.  For just $30 per person, choose the White Flight or the Red Flight, with three courses highlighting various coordinated wines, such as Atlantic salmon cake with braised watercress and horseradish crème fraiche with a glass of Acrobat Pinot Gris, or Smoky grilled tenderloin of beef with forest mushrooms, veal reduction, and crispy potato paired with a glass of Independent Producers Merlot.  Of course, the Sweet Flight offers a choice of delicious desserts with after-dinner spirits like Indian bread pudding with vanilla crème anglaise along with a taste of Otima 10-year port.

Celebrate the harvesting of the grape with good friends at Lakehouse Grille
next Thursday, and enjoy beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee while slowing down to honor what makes life special!
