23 Dec Greater Meredith Program chosen as beneficiary in Reusable Bag Program
The Greater Meredith Program (GMP) has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of December. This is a great opportunity to shop with a cause while helping the environment at the same time!
This exciting program at the Meredith Hannaford has been designed to support local nonprofits, with each month benefitting a different organization. There’s still time this month for folks to help out the GMP! For every purchase of a blue Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag with the Good Karma message printed on its side, the Greater Meredith Program will receive a $1 donation. These donations add up, and help the GMP fulfill its mission for Meredith to be a year-round business service and recreational/social hub for residents, workforce, and visitors. The Greater Meredith Program honors and preserves Meredith’s heritage, creates a viable environment in which to live and work, and makes our town more beautiful for all to enjoy.
“We are delighted that Hannaford has chosen the GMP for inclusion in this program,” said Executive Director, Liz Lapham. “We welcome all Meredith Hannaford shoppers to purchase a bag in December, and the GMP thanks all those who do!”
Greater Meredith Program plans to use the funds from sales of these bags to continue town beautification projects and economic development programs such as the “Do The Loop” shopping and dining stroll around Meredith’s Main Street.
