28 Feb Here’s Your Passport for Meredith Cabin Fever Month!
Got cabin fever? The Greater Meredith Program has your passport to get out and about during the month of March with amazing discounts, special offers, and fun-filled events offered by Lakes Region businesses and organizations, as well as a chance to win a prize-filled sap bucket that’s specially hand-painted by a local artist.
The Meredith Cabin Fever Promotion will run from March 1st through the 29th and will be celebrated by retail shops, restaurants, and other locally owned businesses all around Meredith Village. The Greater Meredith Program has printed up a Passport Game Card and Events Guide that can be found at participating businesses throughout the Village. Folks who visit any of the participating businesses during the month of March can get their passports stamped or initialed for each location, and with ten valid endorsements can then enter to win the “Cabin Fever” Grand Prize Drawing—a hand-painted traditional maple sap bucket filled with prizes from local businesses. Stamped passports should be dropped into the entry box at Mame’s Restaurant by 5 pm on Saturday, March 29th to be entered in the 5:30 pm drawing. Players do not need to be present to win.
Participating businesses are also holding special deals for Cabin Fever Month. Adornments is offering a Bracelet Bonanza—buy any bracelet and get another of equal or lesser value for $1.00. Bonita D. Story Antiques and Estate Jewelry is offering 20 – 25 % off all furniture, glass, china, and miscellaneous items. Those who spend $15.00 at Consignor’s Avenue will be entered into a special One-Room Design Raffle. Cozy Cabin Rustics is offering a 10% discount on furniture, with free delivery and set up. On Fridays only in March, buy any pearl necklace from Lady of the Lake and get a second piece of pearl jewelry for a penny. Threads, A Fashion Forward Boutique is offering 10% off entire purchases, including clearance items, during the month of March.
Food offers from local restaurants include a small coffee & muffin or scone for $2.00 from Kara’s Café and Cakery. Mame’s Restaurant is offering the Cabin Fever Cure—buy one entrée and get the second of equal or lesser value for half off. The Mug and Bay Restaurants are also offering half off the second lunch or dinner order, and the Waterfall Café will also give half off a second lunch item.
For those who are inspired to keep fit in March, Sacred Waters Yoga at Mill Falls is offering any six-, eight-, or ten-class card for half price. At The Fitness Edge, visitors will receive a tour and a free day pass that’s valid any time in March or April.
There will also be some great events around town to celebrate Cabin Fever Month! Come to a Mardi Gras Party with live music at Laconia Harley Davidson on March 1st from 12 – 2 pm. From March 5th – 9th, take a tour and sip a complimentary beverage at the Ballard House Inn. The Meredith Bay Colony Club will be showcasing “A Night of Music with Two Old Friends,” featuring Emery Hutchins and Jim Prendergast on March 12th at 6:30 pm. The Frog Rock Tavern will host a St. Patty’s Day Special on March 16th & 17th, complete with corned beef and green beer. Edward Jones Investments is hosting a Sweet Spring Ice Cream Social on March 22nd from 12 – 3 pm. Also on March 22nd from 12 – 2 pm, Laconia Harley Davidson will be hosting Luau—A Bike Week Countdown Party featuring live music. Consignor’s Avenue invites you to a Ladies and Gents Masquerade Social on March 27th from 4:30 – 7:30pm.
