NBC Sing Off’s North Shore Acappella to Perform in Meredith

North Shore AcapellaReady to shake off the last remains of winter and welcome spring to the Lakes Region? The Winnipesaukee Playhouse will be doing just that when it starts off its season with a dynamic performance by nationally recognized North Shore Acappella, a top ten finalist out of hundreds of contestants on NBC’s The Sing Off, to benefit a local community mental health center.

On Saturday, May 2nd at 7pm, North Shore Acappella will perform at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse in Meredith. The show is being organized by Temple B’Nai Israel of Laconia, which will donate all net proceeds to Genesis Behavioral Health, a community mental health center serving Belknap and southern Grafton Counties.

North Shore Acappella, which recently captivated judges and audiences on NBC’s The Sing-Off, is Boston’s highest profile a cappella group and has opened for many legendary acts, including Jay Leno, The Temptations, Frankie Valli, Al Jarreau, and Roberta Flack. Their skillful blend of harmony, rhythm, and tempo will delight audience members as they perform from their huge repertoire of songs from the ’60s and ’70s, as well as from the ’40s, doo-wop, and Bruno Mars.

As Sam Weisman, executive producer and co-creator of NBC’s The Sing Off noted, “North Shore is just a kick-ass a cappella group, so musical, so warm, so funny! On Season 3 of The Sing Off, they gave us class, style, and heart. Everyone loves them!”

Doors will open at 7pm for guests to enjoy an array of delicious complimentary refreshments in the beautiful ambiance of the Playhouse, and the concert will start at 7:45. A wine and beer cash bar will also be available.

As part of Temple B’Nai Israel’s annual “We Care” program, proceeds from the show will go to Genesis Behavioral Health. Genesis is a community mental health center providing comprehensive mental health services that promote recovery from mental illness and emotional distress to over 3,500 children, adults, elders, and their families each year.

Only 200 tickets are available to this special event! Tickets are $25 per person including refreshments and can be ordered through The Winnipesaukee Playhouse Box Office by calling 603-279-0333. Questions should be directed to info@tbinh.org.

Great music, delicious food, and good deeds, all in one fun evening—what better way to welcome spring!
