03 Apr Party Like Gatsby at the Lake Next Weekend!
Jay Gatsby, the fictional character from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel The Great Gatsby, threw extravagant parties that drew hundreds of people to his waterside mansion on Long Island in the 1920s. In the spirit of those decadent times, Preferred Vacation Rentals is throwing a party at Lake Winnipesaukee to raise funds to help promote the Lakes Region, a beautiful place for a party any time of year!
The Great Gatsby Party at the Lake, presented by Preferred Vacation Rentals, will take place next Friday, April 10th, from 6:30 to 11 pm at Church Landing at Mill Falls in Meredith. This annual event, complete with speakeasy, live jazz, and flappers, is sure to bring guests back to the Roaring Twenties.
Only 225 tickets to the Great Gatsby party will be sold, and there’s only one week left to get yours! A single $100 ticket admits two adults and includes dinner, cocktails, silent auction, raffles, and entertainment. One lucky winner will leave feeling a little bit like one of Gatsby’s wealthy neighbors after winning the $10,000 grand prize!
Organized by a group of dedicated volunteers, this exclusive annual sweepstakes event will raise funds for the Lakes Region Tourism Association, a non-profit organization formed to promote the Lakes Region of New Hampshire as a perfect vacation destination. For more information or to purchase tickets to the Gatsby party, please visit www.LakesRegion.org.
Overnight rooms are available at Chase House or Bay Point for $129 per night and at Church Landing for $169 per night. To reserve your room, please call 800-622-6455 and mention the code 20To4L for these special Gatsby rates.
