“Spooktacular” Events in Meredith This Month!

brochure coverOctober is here! Time to bring on full-force autumn! And with that comes some fabulous and spooky happenings around town. The Greater Meredith Program now brings you a “Spooktacular Series of Events” to occur throughout October…

Treasure Chest prizes, a Zombie Walk, Spooky Palooza, and CSI New Hamshire are just a few of the events to be found in the October “Spooktacular” events guide and game card, compiled by the Greater Meredith Program. The Spooktacular Guide, listing all the local events along with a scarecrow contest, can be picked up at many participating local businesses, including Cackleberries Garden & Gift Shop, DAK Financial Group, Forest View Manor, Hermit Woods Winery, Meredith Library, Moulton Farm, Verani Realty, Meredith Bay Furniture Store, Annalee Gift Shop, Circle Dental, and the Winnipesaukee Playhouse. Each of these businesses is offering one or more special events to celebrate the big collaboration. The Spooktacular Series of Events guide will also be available at the Chamber of Commerce and the Meredith Community Center, as well as on the GMP website at www.greatermeredithprogram.com.

As part of the Spooktacular Series of Events, the Greater Meredith Program is holding a Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt throughout the town. Twenty unique scarecrows can be seen throughout town at various locations listed in the guide. To win the “Cauldron of Goodies,” participants must fill out the scarecrow game card by visiting the scarecrows listed, answer the questions asked, and bring the card to Moulton Farm on Oct. 25th by 2:45 pm for the drawing with the Great Pumpkin at 3:00 pm.

This year’s festivities are guaranteed to offer entertainment and fun for all ages, and to bring together the business and resident communities!
